Minsoo Sohn, celebrated for his deep musical insight and technical brilliance, has captivated audiences worldwide with his interpretations of Bach. His performance of the Goldberg Variations, a work that demands both intellectual rigor and emotional sensitivity, will be a highlight of our concert season. Sohn’s 2011 Honens-label recording of the Goldberg Variations has been described as a “beautifully articulated, radiant interpretation,” (New York Times)

Originally composed for the harpsichord, the Goldberg Variations consists of an aria followed by 30 variations. It is widely regarded as one of Bach’s most complex and profound compositions, exploring a wide range of emotions and musical ideas. Sohn’s interpretation promises to reveal the work’s intricate architecture while also conveying its deep spiritual and emotional dimensions.
