Areas of Research & Creative Activity

Creative nonfiction, memoir, flash, personal essays.

Sarah is from Edmonton, AB. She writes about ordinary moments in unordinary ways and seeks to expose the universal truths in everyday experiences. Her first attempt at nonfiction writing was blogging, but she has since written short stories, personal essays, and flash pieces in the genre. In the summer of 2016, her flash story “Puberty Limbo” appeared on coffee cups all over Edmonton through the YEGWords coffee sleeve project. Although creative nonfiction is her favourite form of expression, she is currently working on strengthening her craft by experimenting with poetry. Her greatest source of inspiration and support is her family.
