Work & Learn

Work Study

Organized through UVic Student Awards and Financial Aid, the work study program creates paid part-time employment opportunities for students who have documented financial need.

The university has a large variety of work study positions, from working in computer labs to assisting professors with research projects. Students do not only profit financially from this employment but are able to more easily schedule work hours around courses while they learn important skills.

Co-op Education

In a co-op program, students alternate their university terms with paid co-op terms working in organizations relevant to their area of study. Students gain valuable work experience and build competencies while funding their education.
