This course will look at short stories that have been adapted into feature lengths films, with an emphasis on Canadian writers and directors. Students will study the theory behind adaptation (through the lens of the short story), and will have the opportunity to try their hand at writing a film adaptation from a selection of contemporary short stories.

Prerequisites: Second-year standing.

Note: May be taken more than once for credit in different topics to a maximum of 3 units.
