WRIT 316: Creative Nonfiction Workshop

Calendar Description:

A workshop in the writing of creative nonfiction.

Recent Summary:

This advanced workshop course gives students an opportunity to develop and practice their writing skills. Ideally they will produce material that is ready for publication. To this end, they will generate ideas and submit drafts for three separate nonfiction essays. After receiving in-class and written feedback from workshop peers, they will hand in substantively revised final editions for grading.

Prerequisites: 204 with a minimum grade of B-; or permission of the department.

Note: Credit will not be granted for 316 and CW 316A, 316B. May be repeated once. This course may count either toward a Major in Writing or toward a Professional Writing Minor, not both. Class size is limited.
