Born and raised in the BC interior, Aaron Shepard received a diploma in Recreation, Fish and Wildlife Technologies in 1997. After several years working in the bush and touring with a rock band, he moved to Victoria, and received his BFA in writing from UVIC. He has published fiction, essays and reviews in various journals and anthologies, such as Fiddlehead, The Malahat Review, and Nobody’s Father: Life Without Kids. Currently, he is a graduate student in the Writing Department, working on a novel. He also serves on The Malahat Review’s editorial board.
