Short fiction.


Susan Sanford Blades is a writer from Edmonton now living in Victoria. Her short stories have been published in Island Writer, Other Voices, The New Quarterly, Little Fiction, Grain, filling Station, Numéro Cinq, and Prairie Fire, and have been shortlisted for the Short Grain contest, the Peter Hinchcliffe Fiction Award, and the Alberta Magazines Association Showcase Awards. Susan has, in the past, contributed to Victoria’s literary scene by volunteering for the Victoria Writers’ Society and by working as The Malahat Review’s marketing manager, as well as sitting on its fiction board. She is currently working on a manuscript of linked short stories.
