Arno Kopecky (BA, 2002) is a Vancouver-based journalist and travel writer whose dispatches have covered four continents and appeared in publications ranging from The Walrus and The Globe and Mail to Reader’s Digest and Foreign Policy. His first book, The Devil’s Curve, a literary travelogue based on his year-long journey through Peru and Colombia, made Amazon’s top-100 list for 2012. His second book, The Oil Man And The Sea, is now available online and in bookstores across Canada. Part investigative journalism, part environmental travelogue, Oil Man is the story of a sailing expedition into British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest and the heart of the Northern Gateway Pipeline controversy.
