Biography

Aislinn Hunter (BFA, 1996) is the author of five books, including two books of poetry, two books of fiction and a book of lyric essays. She is a contributing editor at Arc Magazine and has contributed to numerous anthologies. Her novel Stay was recently filmed as a major motion picture starring Aidan Quinn, and premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. She currently teaches creative writing at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Vancouver. She has been a nominee for the Journey Prize (poetry), the National Book Award (fiction), a National Magazine Award, the Danuta Gleed Award, the Pat Lowther Award, twice for the the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize, and won the 2002 Gerald Lampert Award.
