Marjorie Celona (BA, 2006) published her first novel, Y, in 2012 and it was long listed for the Giller Prize and was roundly critically acclaimed. Y was published in Canada, the US, UK, Germany, the Netherlands and is forthcoming in France, the Czech Republic and Norway. Marjorie is the recipient of the John C. Schupes fellowship and Iowa Arts fellowship from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, the Olive B. O’Connor fellowship from Colgate University, and was recently writer-in-residence at Hawthornden Castle in Scotland. Her stories have appeared in The Best American Nonrequired Reading, Harvard Review, Glimmer Train, Crazyhorse, and elsewhere.
