By Anton Chekhov | Translator Michael Frayn | Guest Director Carmen Aguirre

Returning from Paris to her family’s estate and beloved cherry orchard, Madame Ranevskaya discovers the property is deeply in debt and at risk of being lost. With the orchard facing a possible auction to cover what is owed, the family clings to memory and tradition, reluctant to face what lies ahead. Rich with Chekhov’s humour and irony, it’s a wry portrait of changing fortunes in a world on the brink of transformation.

Jump. Shuffle. Lunge. Repeat! A high-octane look at a girls’ indoor soccer team over the course of a season. As they stretch and train, their conversations move from school and relationships to bigger questions about the world and what lies ahead. Funny and deeply human, The Wolves offers an honest look at friendship, competition, and teenage girls coming into their own.

NEON LIGHTS. CLUB BEATS. A GENERATION ON EDGE
Our last show of the season is our most ambitious undertaking yet! This verbatim theatre work about the HIV/AIDS crisis is a large-scale production featuring a cast of nineteen, a cinematic set inspired by the curved wall of the Vancouver Public Library, and projections that bring many Vancouver locations to life. With 80s and 90s costumes, music, and visuals, the staging vividly captures the essence of the time.
