Director’s Note:
“It has been four years since I graduated from the Undergraduate program of the University of Victoria’s Theatre program. Since then I have bounced around the continent working and travelling. I participated in two seasons with the Opera Theatre of St. Louis where I worked as Assistant Director on the Operas Madama Butterfly and Peter Grimes. I spent a season with the Grand Theatre of London, Ontario in Stage Management and last year assisted Directors at the Arts Club Theatre of Vancouver. In addition, I completed a Masters Degree in Directing at the University of British Columbia. Some of my more memorable directing projects include an outdoor production of Into the Woods, an environmental staging of Spring Awakenings and my ” professional directing debut” at the New Play Centre last spring where I directed a two day workshop and received the grand sum of $123.21. I’ve enjoyed returning to the Department to work with the students and Faculty designer Allan Stichbury on this production. This group of people has impressed me with their abundance of enthusiasm, talent and imagination. I would like to thank Michael Booth for giving me this wonderful opportunity to come home again.”
