Rehearsals are Mondays and Thursdays, 3:30 – 6:30 PM in The Farquhar. Concerts of the 2021/22 season are October 15, November 19, February 4 and March 19. Rehearsal schedule will be posted here starting with September. Add schedule to your calendar in Google Calendar format.

Ensemble Placement Auditions

File Naming: Instrument + V#

Auditions will take place through recording submission. Please send audio only recordings, as placement auditions are meant to be blind (anonymous). Recordings should be uploaded to YouTube or the streaming/file-sharing platform of your choice, and the link sent to music@uvic.ca by Friday, August 20. Please send in a single recording, with pauses between each excerpt, rather than a separate recording for every excerpt. For purposes of anonymity, please name your file with your instrument and V#, i.e. Saxophone, V00123456. Please also indicate whether you are a music major, music minor or in another program. Placement results will be published by the weekend of September 11-12, 2021. 

If you are successfully placed in Orchestra, go ahead and register for the level coherent with your study plan. With questions or need for further assistance, feel free to email orchestra@uvic.ca.
