Attending the School of Music is an exciting opportunity to invest in your future. The School of Music is proud to recognize artistic and academic excellence by awarding more than $250,000 each year in scholarships, bursaries, and teaching assistantships.

How do I get a scholarship?

New students (undergraduate): Awards are given out on the basis of the audition and academic excellence. Financial need is taken into consideration for bursaries. You are automatically considered for School of Music awards when you apply!

Graduate Students: You are automatically considered for graduate fellowships when you apply to the School of Music. Don’t forget to complete the application for teaching assistantships. Many of you will also be eligible for funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada

Residence Fees

Fees vary depending on the type of accommodation (dorm, apartment, house), size of the room, and whether a meal plan is included. Please consult Residence Services for descriptions and fees.

The Johann Strauss Foundation Scholarships are available for advanced study of music at specified public or private institutions in Austria listed in the brochure below.
