The Beatles are truly the stuff of myth. Their music is popular with every generation—and for good reason. This class explores their meteoric rise to fame in context of the ever-fascinating 60’s. Theirs is truly a working-class, rags-to-riches story that will have you loving their music and their contribution to rock history more than you ever thought possible.

Through our exploration of the Beatles recording process and ever-evolving writing style to their whirlwind tours of the planet and profound impact on the world, this class is an oasis of relevant popular cultural history with an unbeatable soundtrack.

About the instructor
Colleen Eccleston is a rock and folk singer, as well as a songwriter and actor with a BFA in Theatre.  A child prodigy, she began her career in Newfoundland at the age of 11 and has captured audiences ever since fronting for rock and Celtic bands and singing with the likes of James Keelaghan, Bourne and McLeod, Valdy, Spirit of the West and many more. She has also toured the province with The Other Guys Theatre Company's hit folk musical Good Timber.
