Interested in studying flute at UVic?

MESSAGE FOR UNDERGRADUATE APPLICANTS:  I am pleased you are considering attending the University of Victoria, and I look forward to meeting and hearing you.
For general information regarding our undergraduate audition and application process, including flute audition repertoire recommendations, please see
A collaborative pianist is expected for all incoming undergraduate flute auditions. If you need a pianist for your audition, please contact one of the following recommended local pianists: Charlotte Hale:  or Tzenka Dianova: Please make all arrangements directly with the pianist  (rehearsals, fees, scheduling and repertoire needs, etc). If you need additional names of local collaborative pianists, please email me directly at

For undergraduate applicants coming from distant locations: In addition to the three regular audition dates offered by the school, I often am able to arrange alternative dates that might coincide better with your travels to Victoria. Please feel free to contact me via email at if you need an alternative audition date. We also accept recorded auditions. However, it is strongly advantageous to audition in person. Every music school is unique, and you will be able to get a much better sense of the campus, the faculty and the general atmosphere by visiting in person!
