MC topic for 28 October 2015

Technique! Everyone’s favourite! 🙂

Please:  1.  review all your major and minor scales and arpeggios. 2. Also review T and G #4 exercise. and 3.  Be prepared to perform any etude of your choice from the current book of etudes from which you are working. I would suggest (for most of you) to present the most recently completed one….but up to you.

Next UVic open masterclass: January 2017 (details TBA)

We just wrapped up an afternoon of flute masterclass, with many flute playing visitors from the community auditing the class. We also had several fellow flute teachers sitting in, a group of keen flute students from Reynolds High school, and a talented guest performer (Georgia Tuhten, current student of Brenda Fedoruk) from Coquitlam.  Next year we will have this event in January (I will be on study leave from July through December). Details will be posted. Hope to see you then!
