The final concert of the UVic Wind Symphony’s 2019/20 season features exciting music by Erich Korngold, John Williams and William Walton in an eclectic program of works by composers who have crossed over between stage and film. As well as these great works, we’re proud to present the world premiere of three works written for our concert: two works by UVic students Luc Faris (A Conversation with the Stars) and Liam Mulligan (Mother Nature), and Artemis Falls, an electroacoustic work commissioned from Australian composer Dale Keaveny. The concert will culminate in an epic finale with Eric Whitacre’s Ghost Train featuring pianist/composer Grisha Krivchenia.
