UVic Chamber Singers 50th Anniversary Tour – Vancouver

The University of Victoria Chamber Singers celebrates its 50th anniversary with a special concert in Vancouver. It’s been more than 20 years since this extraordinary ensemble has sung in Vancouver! Conducted by Dr. Adam Jonathan Con, this exceptional vocal ensemble will sing a varied program of repertoire by Kevin Memley, Charles Villiers Stanford, Moses Hogan, Guy Forbes, Richard Burchard, Ola Gjello, Reena Esmail, Yu-Shan Tsai, Hyun Kook, Claudio Monteverdi, and Hans Leo Hassler.
ABOUT THE UVIC CHAMBER SINGERS
For 50 years now, the UVic Chamber Singers have proven to be one of the most endearing and enduring ensembles at the University of Victoria School of Music. The UVic Chamber Singers has performed to enthusiastic audiences in 140 cities and 30 countries on 6 continents and have recorded for broadcast on the CBC, University of California Radio, N.C.R.V. Radio in Holland and the National Radios of China, Poland & Hungary. They have also been winners in the CBC choral competition and took part in a recording in 2000 that won a Juno Award. Bruce More was the ensemble’s longest-standing conductor. While Bruce retired in 2008, he continues to host alumni reunions and foster connections that strengthen the long and prestigious history of the Chamber Singers.
