The Lafayette String Quartet performs with pianist Alexander Tselyakov in a program featuring the beautiful Viola Quintet in C by W.A. Mozart and the rarely performed piano quintet by Ernő Dohnányi.

Pianist and educator Alexander Tselyakov has been described as a “phenomenal pianist,” having “an intoxicating sound,” and “a perfect artistic individuality.” He is counted in the ranks of Canada’s leading concert pianists, performing as a soloist, chamber musician, and with leading orchestras around the world. Tselyakov lives in Brandon, Manitoba where he has held a full-time position as Professor of Piano at Brandon University since 2003.

Quartet Fest West runs from July 9-19 and offers an in-depth study of great chamber music literature with the world-renowned Lafayette String Quartet on the beautiful University of Victoria campus.
