Hear Ciani talk about and perform on the Buchla, one of the earliest electronic instruments that helped revolutionize the way electronic music and sound is made.
Suzanne Ciani is an Italian American pianist and composer who found early success with innovative electronic music. Her many recognitions include five Grammy nominations for Best New Age Album, an INDIE award for Best New Age Album, numerous Clios, a Golden Globe, and Keyboard Magazine’s “New Age Keyboardist of the Year.” Ciani is a graduate of Wellesley College and holds a Masters in Music Composition from the University of California at Berkeley.
This event is part of the School of Music’s 50th Anniversary New Music & Digital Media Festival.
