Faculty Concert Series

“If music be the food of love, play on!” ~ W. Shakespeare

The School of Music’s spring Faculty Chamber Music concert features music celebrating the month of love, as well as three beloved retiring colleagues — Harald Krebs, Sharon Stanis and Christopher Butterfield — and their long-time contributions to UVic.

This varied program will include performances by our special honourees as well as their colleagues from the School of Music including Merrie Klazek (trumpet), Scott MacInnes (trombone), Arthur Rowe (piano), Patrick Boyle (guitar) and many others, in works by Elgar, Schumann, Butterfield, Lang, Gainsbourg and more.

This will be a 90-minute, no intermission concert.

School of Music students receive complimentary admission to this concert. Tickets available at the door 1 hour prior to concert start time, subject to availability.
