Véronique Mathieu, violin
Stephanie Chua is a much sought-after collaborative pianist devoted to performing contemporary music. She co-founded junctQín keyboard collective, who have commissioned and premiered over 25 works to date. Canadian violinist Véronique Mathieu has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe, South Africa, South America, and the United States. She is a prizewinner of the 2012 Eckhardt-Gramatté Contemporary Music Competition, the 2010 Krakow International Contemporary Music Competition, and a three-time winner of the Canada Council Bank of Instruments Competition.
Chua and Mathieu recently released their debut CD on Centrediscs/Naxos, featuring over 100 years of Canadian duos by Healey Willan, Heather Schmidt, Alice Ho, Maria Molinari as well as two new works by emerging composers Brian Harman and Adam Scime.
