Faculty Concert Series: Beethoven for Cello and Piano

Enjoy the scope and creative development of the master Ludwig van Beethoven as heard in his works for cello and piano. These works span his early years, composing and performing the Op. 5 works in the court of Friedrich Wilhelm II with cellist, Jean Louis Duport, to his later Op. 102 works which include an elaborate fugue—a predecessor to his great Op. 13 Grosse Fugue. Vancouver pianist Jane Hayes joins UVic cellist Pamela Highbaugh Aloni for this “mini festival”.
