How have your History in Art studies helped you since you graduated?
While I have not entered the workforce yet, my studies have gotten me into UBC's competitive MA program in Critical and Curatorial Studies (CCST) with a full scholarship that I plan to finish in Spring 2016. Otherwise I would credit studying History in Art with giving me a much broader and deeper understanding of the world. Although based in the faculty of Fine Arts, I have learned a great deal about language, politics, philosophy, history, and world religions.

Brief Biography
Born in Winnipeg to European immigrant parents, I had many opportunities to travel to see extended family in Europe but also to see many historical sites and museums. I grew up with an appreciation for history and culture but never viewed it as a career path until returning to school in 2010 to study History in Art at UVic. Prior to that I studied a variety of subjects and tried out several career paths but I have found this field to easily be the most fulfilling.
