The combined degree program in Music and Computer Science is ideal for students interested in music and technology. The combined program includes the core courses for both the Music and Computer Science degrees. The program emphasizes high quality academic learning informed by contemporary research in the field. Theory and practice combine in the programs state-of-the-art digital music studios and labs, which provide a space for musical creation, research and analysis. This program prepares students for a wide range of employment opportunities in the music technology and media industries, as well as a solid foundation for further academic studies.

Applicants to the program are encouraged to read the on-line form and prepare the following materials before submitting:

• Relevant musical and/or academic history, including transcripts, diplomas or certificates.
• Three written responses indicating your experience with music technology, computer science and your motivation for studying in the combined program at UVic.
• Portfolio material (optional)
