What is the Fine Arts Media Job Board?

The Fine Arts Media Job Board functions as a place for clients in the Victoria community to submit work opportunities and have them posted for UVic students and recent graduates to see. Students are directly contacted with active postings in the area of work that interests them.

Who are the students that get hired?

They are current students and recent graduates from the faculty of Fine Arts, studying and practicing the skills relevant to the work offered.

How much do students usually charge?

Students decide their own fees, which are negotiated between client and student. They depend on the length of time, type of services, and experience of the student in the work requested.

How will I be contacted if someone expresses interest?

The student will contact you via e-mail or phone.

What if I do not hear from any students?

If you do not hear from students in a reasonable amount of time, you may feel free to re-post the position. If you do, consider adding more detail, or increasing the expected rate. It could also be that due to their studies and schedules, there are no students presently available who meet your needs.

How does a student modify their mailing list subscription settings?

To modify your subscription settings on any job board mailing list, go to the Student Sign-Up page, and click the link for the appropriate list. In the following screen, there is a modify section at the bottom of the page to fill out and submit.

How does a student unsubscribe from a job board mailing list?

To unsubscribe from a job board mailing list, go to the Student Sign-Up page, and click the link for the list you wish to unsubscribe from. In the following screen, there is an unsubscribe section at the bottom of the page to fill out and submit.
