Drama: Recent Summary

This class provides a practical foundation in the basics of dramatic writing. Through lectures, in-class exercises, written assignments, peer editing and an in-class exam we will examine the fundamental elements of what makes good drama. The primary focus will be on writing for stage and will include classes on moving from page to stage—the influence of director, designer, actor, and audience. And finally classes on moving from stage to screen—how the screen affects dramatic conventions.
