Biography

Les Wiseman has chronicled the pop-culture industry for over 30 years. He was head writer for Vancouver magazine for 11 years, eight of those as associate editor. He was also Western Canadian editor of TV Guide (Canada) for eight years. Recently, Wiseman left a position as senior editor at Canada Wide Media, after nine years, during which he specialized in sustainable architecture, green design, as well as the hospitality and golf industries.

Wiseman has written for television and produced talk radio. He and the publications he has edited have been nominated for and won numerous magazine awards. He has also written PR and corporate profiles for dozens of companies.

Wiseman contributes regularly to Douglas, Movie Entertainment and Absolute Underground magazines. Currently, he is writing the continuity for the documentary film Bloodied But Unbowed: Vancouver Punk 1978-1982.
