Biography

Denise Rudnicki is a freelance writer, editor, and broadcaster. She was a national affairs correspondent, program host and producer for CBC Radio and TV in newsrooms across Canada but spent most of her career as a parliamentary reporter on the Hill in Ottawa. She lectures, writes and conducts workshops on her area of research, which is government communications and its impact on the media. She is also a communications consultant, and has served as director of communications for the federal minister of justice. Denise taught full time in the journalism department at Carleton University,
teaches professional writing at Royal Roads University, and taught journalism at the University of Rwanda. She relocated to Victoria in 2008 and lives on a boat in the inner harbour where she continues to write.
