Victoria Film Festival
Screening Series
Feb. 3rd-12th

The Victoria Film Festival comes to town and always promises an electric mix of world-class films. This year's program not only includes guests John Landis and Linda Blair, but features work from alum Jeremy Lutter, Ben Rollo, Eliza Robertson, commissioned arts docs by former students Scott Amos, Liam Sherriff, and Daniel Hogg, and film and industry talk by current student Katherine Walkiewicz. Shorts Program: Segues Most Strange

Writing alum Eliza Robertson scripted this short film about an artist coping with
hallucinations following the death of her mother who finds her life intersecting with that
a bus driver coping with loss of his own. Co-starring Phoenix product Jesse Ambler and featuring contirbutions from seven other past and present writing students. Audience must be 18 years or over to attend VFF screenings.



Joanna Makes a Friend

Shorts Program: Beyond the Playground

Join writing alumni Jeremy Lutter and Ben Rollo as they premiere their short film Joanna Makes a Friend, starring Fred Ewanuick (Corner Gas, Dan for Mayor) and Dalila Bela at the 2012 Victoria Film Festival. Rollo adapted from his own short story, and Lutter directed this film, which won the highly competitive MPPIA Short Film Award in 2010. Audience must be 18 years or over to attend VFF screenings.
