Foundation Art and Technology

Units: 1.5, Hours: 3-0

One of the four courses forming the foundation year for studies in Visual Arts, this course focuses on the core digital technologies applicable to the visual arts, and to the processes and ideas associated with the practices of contemporary digital media. Students will explore a range of studio techniques, practices and theoretical issues.

The Art 106 website contains all materials and links needed to complete this course. In order to minimize waste, there will be little supplemental paper issued.

Introduction to Contemporary Art Theory: Practice and Criticism

Units: 1.5, Hours: 3-0

A lecture course introducing the terms and concepts necessary for an understanding of contemporary art.

Note: Normally class size is limited.
