Theatre Course Union (TCU)

The Theatre Course Union represents the student body inside the Department of Theatre to faculty, staff and chair of the department. They serve as a mediator for student concerns.

The TCU organizes events for the theatre student community to congregate and to raise funds in support of student grants. Upper year students provide mentoring within each specialization to other students seeking guidance and the perspective of their cohorts.

Student Alternative Theatre Company (SATCo)

SATCo is theatre by students, for students. It is an outlet for Department of Theatre students to independently produce theatre in a safe, peer-supported atmosphere. They encourage the development of new works as well as experimentation with existing ones. Students organize all aspects of the production process.

SATCo produces a series of weekly productions each fall which take place in the MacIntyre Studio at the Phoenix Theatre.
