The Phoenix Theatre is showcases the youth, energy and talent of UVic's Department of Theatre students. Our season this year includes four plays. For more information on individual plays see our season listing.

The Phoenix Theatre Box Office opens for single tickets one week before a production's opening night, as per the following schedule:

The Josephine Knot: October 7 - 24, 2009
Romeo & Juliet: October 28 - November 21, 2009
Problem Child: February 10 - 27, 2010
Wreckage: March 10 - 27, 2010

4 shows for $44 OR 3 shows for $33

FREE EXCHANGES: Subscribers can exchange performance days for free and by telephone (subject to availability with 24 hours notice).

REPLACEMENTS: Lost your tickets? No problem. No fee.

CHOICE SEATS: Our subscribers get the first opportunity to book seasts before single tickets go on sale.

MORE TICKETS: Bringing friends? Additional single tickets can added to your subscription or be purchased by subscribers at any time throughout the season.

Customer Services

Location on Campus
The Phoenix Theatre is located on the west side of the campus outside Ring Road in the Fine Arts district of campus. For more information or to see maps of this area visit Fine Arts "Plan a Visit".

Parking
The Phoenix Theatre is accessed easily from Lots 6 and 10 on UVic Campus. There is a passenger drop-off area for our physically-challenged patrons. Click here to see a map of parking on the University of Victoria campus.

The University of Victoria charges for parking in all campus parking lots on evenings and Saturdays. There is no charge for parking on Sundays. A flat $2.00 parking fee will be in effect Monday to Friday, 6 p.m. until midnight and Saturday (24 hours).

Permits can be purchased with coin or credit cards through automated machines at campus entrances and in the parking lot adjacent to the Phoenix Theatre. Multiple-visit permits will be available through Campus Security Services. The revenue from pay parking offsets the cost of sustainable transportation programs at UVic, including subsidized student bus passes and cycling facilities. Infrared Listening Devices
Listening devices are available at no charge for our mainstage theatres. Call the Box Office at 721-8000 to reserve.

Sign Language Interpretation
The Phoenix is offering sign language interpretation during the Saturday matinees for two plays this season: "The Josephine Knot" and "Problem Child". Contact the Box Office at 721-8000 for more information.

Pre-Show Lectures
are presented by noted scholars on the first Friday of each show. Subscriptions on for this evening are sold out, however these lectures are free and open to all Phoenix patrons no matter which performance you are attending.
